Pro Kabaddi League 2021 is about to happen in December, and fans are super excited! There will be 12 teams participating in PKL 2021, season 8, after a year’s intermission. It will be an exciting match of three days with 161 players participating in it.
Talking about the Patna-based team, Patna Pirates is super excited to give their best in the forthcoming season. They have victoriously won the PKL title three consecutive times in Jan 2016, June 2016, and 2017.
After the much-awaited auction that took place between August 29 to August 31, teams have announced the names of some big performers from their 2021 squad. Let’s meet the Patna Pirates squad for 2021;
Patna Pirates has acquired Sachin Tanwar as a replacement of Pardeep Narwal for the upcoming eighth season of PKL 2021. They bought Sachin for an amount of Rs 84 lakh during the Pro Kabaddi League 2021 auction.
Patna Pirates also made their significant investment in raider Prashant Kumar Rai (Rs 55 lakh) and bought Iran’s Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh for Rs 31 lakh. It made him the most prized foreign signing of PKL 2021.
Monu Goyat, a pivotal player for Patna Pirates that outshined in 2017, has returned for Rs 20 lakh. There are multiple players who have stood by the expectations of the team and contributed their part exceptionally. So, Patna Pirates decided to retain some of the best raiders and defenders. Their names are Neeraj Kumar, Monu, Mohit, Rajveersinh Pratap Rao Chavan, and Sahil Mann.
But with the commencement of a new season, Patna Pirates is ready to make a setback with new team members to join the defenders and raiders department.
The ones creating a buzz are the trio of the young blood who are excited to play their first PKL in December 2021. The trio includes Mohit, Sahil Mann, and Rajveersinh Pratap Rao Chavan, and the hard-core fans are expecting a lot from them.
Strong raiding is the unique aspect of Patna Pirates, and they completely justify this title. So, they have Sachin Tanwar and Prashanth Kumar Rai as their best raiders at the forefront. The team owns four top-notch raiders known as Vivo Pro Kabaddi’s top-scoring overseas raiders Monu Goyat and Jang Kun Lee along with Sachin Tanwar and Prashanth Kumar Rai. Lee was an important player of Patna Pirates during Season 7 too. At that time, he earned 63 points for the team, and Goyat was a chief player of the Season 5 title-winning Patna Pirates team.
Not just raiders, but this time Patna Pirates decided to strengthen their defence department as well. Right Corner Sunil has been their priority, followed by Shubham Shinde and Left Corner Sandeep and Sourav Gulia.
With a strong team of raiders, defenders, and all-rounders everyone has high hopes from Patna Pirates.
