The unbeaten determination of the Pirates has made them become the first team of the season to make it to the playoffs! Not just this but with this match, the team has also won its fifth consecutive match of the season, proving that they are unstoppable and committed to winning the title. Guman Singh ensured to become a star of the match by giving an excellent performance. All in all, it was Pro Kabaddi League Season 8’s 107th match and Patna Pirates successfully beat Puneri Paltan with a massive score lead of 46-23, making it to the playoffs!
Raider Guman Singh scored a total of 13 points throughout the match, but it would be wrong to say that the Puneri Paltan didn’t give their best to compete with the Pirates. In the beginning moments of the match, the Pirates were made to sweat to collect points by the resilient team of Puneri Paltan. However, the time changed and the result is in front of all of us. Pune’s Aaslam Inamdar scored a total of 9 points, but all of these came in the first half, as the second half was ruled by the Pirates. As the team went to halftime, the Pirates had just a single-point advantage. However, they ensured to make every effort in the second half, inflicting double all out on Puneri Paltan, extending their massive lead in the game. Paltan’s began the match with their star raiding duo of Aslam Inamdar and Mohit who excellently gained superiority over the raiders of Patna Pirates. Puneri Paltan also tightened their defense with Vishal bearing the left corner position on the mat. The team was going to end up with a truly well-earned all-out of the Pirates. But four of their defenders followed Patna’s Sachin without any touch to the lobby and this helped the Pirates to inflict an all-out on the Paltans. Guman Singh’s super raid move of 3 points increased Patna’s lead. However, Pune’s Aslam Inamdar instantly changed the air of the game, taking a massive super raid of 4 points for his team. The level pegging first half finally ended with Patna in a slim lead of 18-17.
The second half began with both the team playing cautiously as they still kept matching each other. However, Patna Pirates maintained a lead of 3 points with only ten minutes left on the clock. Although the smart Paltan knew only a big raid could change the game for their profit, Guman Singh’s raid of 2 points made the team know that there is no easy way out. Further, Patna Pirates went for a team tackle move on Nitin Tomar to take him away from the midline. With this, the Pirates earned an all-out, taking a 7 point lead in the game. Guman Singh then ensured his super 10 as his team collected a 10 point lead with only two minutes remaining for the game to end. Defender Mohammadreza gathered his unit to inflict yet another all-out through a 2 point raid by Sachin. With this, the Pirates gained a 16 point lead in the game, winning the match and marking their entrance to PKL Season 8’s playoffs.
