The enthralling performance of the team has once again made the Pirates win a match. A High 5 score from Mohammadreza Chiyaneh and a Super 10 from Sachin finally resulted in Patna Pirates beating U.P. Yoddha with a score difference of two points. Shrikant and Surender Gill united to attain 19 points for their team but couldn’t help U.P. Yoddha from slipping into a fourth consecutive loss. Their team was in primacy in the beginning and also attained a 5-2 lead, courtesy of which goes to Surender Gill, Nitesh Kumar, and Shrikant Jadhav. As Patna Pirates were struggling to come to a dominating position, Sachin took the responsibility to bring his team back into the game. He picked up a total of four raid points in three raid attempts to ensure his team could level the score.
Neeraj Kumar and Guman’s confirmed chain tackle move on Surender made Patna Pirates take the lead in the first half of the match. Moving ahead, Sachin reduced Yoddha’s players to just two remaining on the mat with yet another two-point raid. The ankle hold move by Mohammadreza Chiyaneh further sent the other two players back to the bench, inflicting the game’s first all out, taking a lead by 13-8.
Further in the game, the Pirates continued to collect points and lead on the scoreboard. Captain Prashanth Kumar Rai and Guman Singh also leveled up their tally followed by Sajin pinning down U.P.’s Aman to leave the Yoddhas with only three remaining on the mat. However, U.P. did not lose the motivation to win in the situation. Their defense super tackled Sachin, reviving Surender who further collected two more points for his side and helped the team get back to the game. Further, Pirates’ Prashanth scored the final point of the half to make sure that his team went to a halftime break with a 5 point lead.
The second half began with motivated U.P. Yoddhas performed their best as Surender successfully escaped a tackle attempt with a Dubki move and also played to tag another defender, leaving the Pirates with only two players on the mat. An unfortunate self-out move by Prashanth Kumar left the Pirates with only Sajin remaining on the mat. Further, Surender picked a touch-point to inflict Patna’s all out, leveling the score to 21-21. Moving ahead, the Yoddhas ventured on a 3-0 run to take control of the game. Sachin and Mohammadreza came to the front and ensured to minimize their point deficit to only one. Shubham Kumar and Ashu further combined to pin Sahil down and helped the Pirates to reclaim their lead. Sachin’s exceptional performance with his 12th raid point reduced the Yoddhas with a single man remaining on the mat. Pardeep Narwal was subbed by the Yoddhas to try and revive one or two players but he could only afford a bonus before being invaded by the defense of Pirates, inflicting Yoddhas another All Out & pushing the Pirates lead up with four points. The U.P. Yoddha tried their best to come back to the game but two amazing tackles by Mohammadreza made them lose hope. As Shrikant picked his last two points with the game’s last raid, the Pirates anyways won the game by two points.
