The team has undoubtedly been giving its best in all the matches of Pro Kabaddi League Season 8. Until the unfortunate Covid-19 outbreak in the camp of the team, it had already scored 7 wins and a draw in the total of 11 matches of this season. However, the rise in the cases of Covid took a turn for the team and brought a nine-day long pause. The three-time former PKL champions are standing in the 3rd position on the points table as of now, right below Bengaluru Bulls & Dabang Delhi. The Patna Pirates team has had upright matches in the season so far even after the departure of Pardeep Narwal. Ever since he left, the fans and audiences were doubtful of the team’s performance. However, they have proved their potency in the PKL season 8. Bengaluru Bulls had to play against the Bengal Warriors after Patna Pirates had to back out due to the Covid-19 outbreak on Thursday. Whereas, the match between the Patna Pirates and Bengaluru Bulls will be rescheduled to a different day. PKL was also forced to reschedule the match between Puneri Paltan and the Pirates.
The Crisis of Covid-9 Outbreak in the Camp
Due to the postponed matches of Patna Pirates, Puneri Paltan will now have to fight against Bengaluru Bulls on Saturday, 22nd January. Saturday. Undoubtedly, the rescheduling of both these games has unfortunately arrived at a very spontaneous time. However, it is because the players or team members from the camp of Patna Pirates have tested positive for COVID-19. Also, there is no official announcement from the team or PKL in this case. The only official information is that the concerned members have been isolated to maintain the precautions. Not just this, but the officials have also not given out a specific number of positive cases.
The matches in the PKL Season are all being played in a strictly maintained bio-bubble. However, there is enough given time for the team to solve this crisis and come back to the game with a boost. The authorities want the team to come back to the mat with all team members fit and ready to give their best. But, the efforts got pounded as another team of the PKL has also come under the radar of the Covid-19 outbreak. Therefore, the situation remains a little unpredictable as of now for the team and the league. However, a rather strong comeback of the team is expected soon.
