Patna Pirates VS Tamil Thalaivas Finishes the Game in a Tie

The exciting match between Patna Pirates and Tamil Thalaivas concluded with a tie. On 6th January, the Pirates played their 6th match of the season with full-on continued confidence to perform their best. However, the competitive team of Tamil Thalaivas was not ready to renounce, and the game became a proper showcase of an exciting back-and-forth contest. With this match, both the teams continued their unbeaten streaks as the Thalaivas remained undefeated for the fourth time while the Pirates extended their streak to four seasons 8′ games.

Ajinkya Pawar undoubtedly stole the limelight of the show by scoring a total of 12 points right after entering the court, while Monu Goyat bagged a total of 9 points. 

The game began with a balanced performance by both the teams and this lasted for almost eight minutes. However, Pirates’ Monu Goyat kicked off the real game by picking a two-pointer, turning the tide to his team’s benefit. In addition, Prashanth Kumar Rai and Mohammadreza Chiyaneh’s commendable defense gave the Patna Pirates a lead with four-point as the round ended with an All Out.

The game moved ahead as Tamil Thalaivaa’ Ajinkya Pawar came to the court and bagged bonus points. The latter team managed to match the game level by continuously adding to their tally with tackles and touch points. This led to the Pirates leaving only two Thalaivas on the mat. Monu’s exceptional move of the ankle hold on Pawar made his team inflict another All Out. And, with this move, the Pirates made its lead on the match with a seven-point lead. The Tamil Thalaivas scored one last point before the first half ended with 12-18. 

The second half begins with the Thalaivas performing tremendously. The credit goes to Pawar as he bagged four points for his team in just three minutes. Further, his two-point raid lessened Tamil Thalaivas’s point deficit and left the Pirates with only one man on the mat. In the last moments before inflicting an All Out on the Pirates, Guman Singh worked for the defense and picked up a bonus point. 

The game kept becoming more and more interesting, as one would think that they know the game direction, the game changes. Both the teams were determined to give their all for the game and maintain their winning streak of the season. The match moved ahead with the Tamil Thalaiva’s Bhavani Rajput pushing his team’s lead to three. However, Pirates’ star raider Monu Goyat and the team’s defense helped them level the scores in the last four minutes of the game. Further, Tamil Thalaivas’ strong defense made their team reclaim their power over the game with Monu’s chain tackle. Again, while the viewers might have felt confused, Mohammadreza Chiyaneh cleared the air by making a stellar move of a block on Pawar, leveling the scores. 

In the last moments, Sachin’s toe-touch move gave Pirates the lead. However, Athul MS of Tamil Thalaivas picked up a raid point, and this is how the game ended in a tie between the two perfectly competitive teams.
