Patna Pirates is one of the renowned eight teams of the Pro Kabaddi League that was founded in 2014. It is a popular team, based in Patna, Bihar, and owned by Rajiv V Shah. With strong defenders and raiders in their team, they are a three-time title winner who has experienced an exciting journey so far.
Patna Pirates are set to drive in a new direction, with different strategies as the PKL makes a comeback after two years due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. They have played seven seasons so far, and each time their squad comes with valuable strategies and Kabbadi moves that help them stand out. Before the awaited PKL 2021 auction, Patna Pirates decided to part ways with their top raider Pardeep Narwal.
The significant winning history of Patna Pirates reveals that they made a notable record of hattrick victory in June & January 2016, and 2017. During the third season of PKL, Patna Pirates beat U Mumba. In the PKL’s 4th season they beat Jaipur Pink Panthers. And, they left behind Gujarat Fortune Giants in the fifth season of Vivo Pro Kabaddi League 2016.
In fact, Patna Pirates are the first team ever to play 100+ matches in the very famous Vivo Pro Kabaddi League. They have one of the most excellent players of Kabaddi sports who are ambitious and passionate about the game. The 2018-19 variant of PKL did not turn out super good for Patna Pirates as the team lost the competition in the group stages. At that point, it was the first time that Patna Pirates could not qualify for the playoffs.
But with new tactics and moves in place, it will be exciting to see how the Patna Pirates will play in PKL 2021 without Pardeep Narwal. The team understands the value of both raiding and defending units. Hence, they have ensured to have strong players in both the respective departments. They have confidently included Neeraj Kumar, the team’s most powerful defender who outshined in Season 7. Neeraj Kumar has a record of scoring 11 tackle points for his team just in a single match that was played in the last season. With respect to the raiders team, Patna Pirates determined to move ahead with Monu. Monu had been an outstanding performer of the team and presently owns a score of 143 points from 54 matches.
Coached by Mr. Ram Mehar Singh mentors and conducts the players very well. The way he scolds and motivates his players is highly recommendable. Monu Goyat and Sachin Tanwar are two influential contestants who can lead the team exceptionally.
From this summary, we clearly know that Patna Pirates have won the titles for three consecutive years. With their fan corners being super understanding and supportive, everyone has their eyes on the team. It goes without saying that the team is made to do a setback after enormous practice sessions. Also, through their previous performances, we can expect the team to become the mighty winners of PKL’s eighth season.
