Jawahar Dagar: Patna Pirates Elite Retained Player

The 25-year-old Jawahar Nagar started his VIVO Pro Kabaddi League career in season 4. He was bought as a raider by the Jaipur Pink Panthers in his debut season. In his debut season itself, he got the opportunity to play 6 matches and earn a total of 2 points which was not at all a bad start for a fresher competing against experienced kabaddi players.

Impressed by this 5.8ft raider’s performance in his debut season, Patna Pirates bought him in season 5 and since then he has been one of the prominent players of the Pirates. In fact, he has been one of the Patna Pirates’ Elite Retained Player in season 6 as well as in season 7 with players like Pardeep Narwal and Vikas Jaglan. The management of Patna retained him at 13.2 lakhs for the upcoming season of Pro Kabaddi League.

Jawahar Dagar Performance Before and After Joining Panta Pirates:

Before becoming a part of Patna Pirates in season 4, Jawahar Dagar joined PKL as a raider. In season 5 the Patna Pirates gave him a chance at the right corner and that turned out well for Jawahar as well as the team. Under the guidance of Ram Meher Singh, he got to explore his hidden talent and try out his skills at the defending front as well. Currently, he is the best right corner defender in the Patna team.

Giving him a chance at the right corner was a masterstroke for his career as well as the team. Because of his and trainer’s determination and hard work Patna Pirates became champion in season 5. Jawahar’s determination and the trainer’s hard work paid off well as they continued to hold their claim over the PKL title for the third time.

After becoming a part of Patna Pirates training camp, Jawahar has outshined as a player. Now his expertise is not just restricted to being a raider or defender he has evolved as a player. He has fully mastered all the skills and techniques of being a raider as well as a right corner defender and therefore is considered as a very good player of the league.
