- Puneri Paltan: The highest number of super tackle points in a season
The Puneri Paltan team also managed to shine in the list of the record breakers in the past season. The super tackle is scored when the team is only left with three or fewer players on the court, stopping the raider from touching the midline in such a situation enables them to earn two points instead of one, such an advantage is termed as a super tackle. Puneri Paltan in the season 6 surpassed the previous record of earning the most super tackle points in a season. They managed to put 34 super tackle points on their board in the whole season. The previous record was set by the Patna Pirates in season 4 when they earned 27 super tackle points.
Thus, Puneri Paltan did a spectacular job in outmatching the previous record of super tackle points with a huge difference.
It would be exciting to see if the record will be broken by any other team or not in season 7.
