The Incredible victory of Patna Pirates over Bengal Warriors

Patna Pirates have found their footing again in their last two matches against Bengal Warriors. Ending the home leg of this season with a close victory of 29-27 against Bengal Warriors, the Pirates once again went up on the ranking board. And now mere 9 days after their previous clash, Pirates have defeated the Warriors again with a crushing 50-30 total score in their favour. The Pirates have definitely opened the Mumbai leg of the tournament with a bang.

With both Pardeep Narwal of Patna Pirates and Maninder Singh of Bengal Warriors present in this match, the spectators were certainly given the explosive match that they were anticipating. Both players are the main raiders for their respective teams and could make or break the match, and Narwal made it big here.

Pirates got the initial advantage in match, with Pardeep Narwal and Deepak Narwal scoring points in their raids. This was a match that was intense from the very beginning, both teams fighting neck-to-neck for points. Yet Patna Pirates worked hard to keep themselves ahead, even just by a single point. Five minutes into the game, and the score was already 7-6 in Pirates’ favour.

Patna’s defenders did an excellent job of blocking and tackling raiders of the opposition. Bengal Warriors suffered many empty raids and lost points to the other team. Seasoned players like Maninder and Jang couldn’t get in any raids, a testament to Patna’s iron defence. With Deepak Narwal being a great asset to his team, Pirates scores easily went up to 9-6 with his raiding.

Keeping the trend, Pirates continued to race ahead with raid and tackle points to a 11-7 lead. Bengal’s do-or-die raid could not even get them any points, after which it seemed that Patna Pirates started a full attack on the Warriors and gained a further 10 point lead. And with Maninder Singh already on the bench, it took just another super tackle to put Ran Singh on the bench too. It was soon all-out for the Bengal Warriors.

Captain Pardeep Narwal once again led his team by performing some great raids and Patna had the lead with 21-12 scores. Under his leadership, the Pirates showered fire on the opponents and they took the advantage even at the start of the second half. Vijay and Deepak Narwal have proved themselves once again with this match, both scoring a substantial amount of raid points, a bonus addition to Pardeep Narwal’s own fiery streak. The audiences were already predicting Pirates’ victory when the score went 32-14, again in their favour.

Along with Pardeep Narwal completing another Super10 in this match, Deepak Narwal and Vijay kept a steady trickling of scores. By the time, Warriors started to perform better, it was too late for them to cover an enormous score difference of 45-20. A few of more raids in the last five minutes of the game and Patna Pirates once again emerged as a team worth their salt.
